Prep was created to make the hours outside school count. We know that simply telling students to “revise” is rarely enough. Progress comes from expert explanation, checking understanding, guided practice, purposeful independent work with a constant feedback cycle. That’s why every Prep lesson follows a simple cycle: Teach. Check. Practice, with regular feedback to help students know exactly what to improve next.

Meet Rosie
Rosie is an expert English teacher and examiner who has spent twelve years leading Quality of Education, most recently as a Deputy Headteacher. She has taught hundreds of students and has had the privilege of seeing all those beaming faces opening their results to a set of exceptional results. She also knows those results do not come from simply attending school. They come when excellent teaching is reinforced with purposeful recap, regular practice and timely feedback outside the school day — helping students strengthen knowledge, close gaps and overcome the forgetting curve.
Prep was built on a simple belief: students make the strongest progress when the hours outside school are used purposefully. Not by passively rereading or highlighting a textbook, but through focused knowledge recall, deliberate exam practice, regular assessment and clear, actionable feedback.
At Prep, exceptional teaching is non-negotiable. Rosie has led whole-school Teaching & Learning, coaching and teacher development, so she knows exactly what great teaching looks like — and only appoints teachers who meet that standard.
